A hella lot of damage to people’s lives was done in the name of renewal. Thad argues for more modesty and thoughtfulness in planning today.

I have a copy of *City: Urbanism and Its End* by Douglas Rae, but I have never read it, and that's relevant to my research on the history of sidewalks. Was this one of your sources?
